Contacts Live Contacts — a brief features overview

Adding contacts manually
Probably the easiest way to populate your contact database is to enter contact information manually. Contact fields (e.g. Name, Email...) are grouped by sections (Contact, Phones, Home…) and displayed top-down on the same page.

Adding contacts online

Contacts Live Contacts allow you to accompany each entry with a picture of the addressee. When you add/modify contact entry you can add an image and it will be automatically resized to fit the frame.

Using widgets to let your subscribers add themselves
You can place a simple Sign-Up form widget on your website or blog to turn visitors into subscribers. You can choose widget that includes most common contact entry fields (Name, E-mail, Photo, etc), or add custom fields to it. Every widget can be customized; i.e you format its color, size, and content. Subscriber's details are added instantly to a folder in your Contacts Live Contacts database; turn on Double Opt-In option if you want a notification email with confirmation link to be sent to subscribers.

Importing contacts from text file
It’s certain you already have your contacts stored on your desktop computer in Outlook Address Book or in a spreadsheet. With just several clicks you can import your address book (whatever its size and format) to Contacts Live Contacts.

After successful import you can save format for further usage.

Organizing contacts
Entries in Contacts Live Contacts are organized into folders which are sorted in hierarchical order. Each folder may contain as many contacts and subfolders as you want. In the Folders panel you can collapse/expand folder (using [–] and [+] icons next to the folder name) to hide/show included subfolders.

Manipulating with folders and contacts (Copy, Move, Delete, etc.)
You can copy or move an entire folder with all included subfolders and entries to new location. You can also copy/move multiple entries in a batch mode to any accessible folder or delete the whole folder or selected contacts.

Adding and customizing fields
Contact entry format is fully customizable. You can add new fields and sections or modify existing ones. For each field you can supply:

  • Long Name which appears as a main field label
  • Optional Short Name which is used as a column title
  • Type of field, e.g. Text, Date etc…
  • Location — the place where this field appears in the Add/Edit Contact form, and other properties

Sharing contacts with other users
You can customize personal or group permissions for every folder to share it with other users of your Contacts Live account.

There are three levels of user/group access rights:

R (Read) — can list and read contacts in this folder
W (Write) — can add/modify contacts in this folder
F (Folder) — can add/modify contacts, folders and access rights

You can see a list of all users and groups that share access to your folder as well as their access rights. It helps you to feel more confident while you perform any manipulations with your data.
