An example of a personalized email message might be, instead of saying "Dear Customer", can say personalize it by saying "Dear John". Type in the salutation you like, then select the Recipient Contact Variable {NAME} from below.

Contact Variables.
You have many to choose from. Variables represent the many different fields used in the CONTACTS module.

You could insert NAME which includes both first & last name. Or you could chose just the first or last name only.

You can also use variables for either yours and or your customer's street address, phone number, email address and many more.
